On Friday, October 23rd, 5,500 of our awesome, crazy, highly-engaged doctors and teams flew from around the globe to attend the 5X Summit— our BIGGEST event ever! Because of the enormous member presence this weekend, Jay felt compelled to set the tone of impact and generosity. He decided that to maximize the group’s momentum, he should rally support behind a specific cause. His choice? Veterans. Men and women who’ve dedicated years of their lives to serving our country, and protecting our families.

Many of them returned from the war and never received even half of the appreciation that they deserve.

Wounded Warrior Project is a 501 (c)(3) organization that was founded after the events of September 11, 2001, in order to offer a variety of programs, services, and events for wounded veterans and their family members.

On Thursday morning, Jay had the honor of presenting an American veteran with a $100,000 check to the Wounded Warrior Project— a check intended to match and DOUBLE the donations of the 5X Summit attendees. Together, they challenged the audience to join forces and change lives, and to be the example of generosity to others in their lives.

The Summit doctors and teams DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Within just 24 hours they had raised over $75,000 for the cause, and had surpassed $100,000 by mid-morning on Saturday.

Including the amount donated by Jay Geier, the donations have now reached a WHOPPING $224,290. These donations have opened many doors of opportunity for the Wounded Warrior Project and the veterans they honor.

It isn’t too late to honor these brave men and women with your donation!

Our funding website is gofundme.com/5xsummit, and the donation process is very simple. Whether it is 5, 10, or 100 dollars, this money symbolizes a respect and immeasurable gratitude for those that have served our country and survived, and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
